Surgical Pathology and Practice, 2017
I am indeed grateful for having been invited to participate in this Surgical Pathology conference. Unfortunately I am not able to attend because my diary has already been completely filled for the year 2017. I am happy to send you my best wishes. I am aware that those of us who work at the basic end of science always hope that whatever we find will be of practical use in human therapy. I feel sure that your meeting will help to contribute to this aim and I send you my best wishes.

Types of pathology:
The main branches of pathology are clinical pathology, Speech Pathology, anatomical pathology or a combination of the two, referred to as general pathology.
General pathology:
General pathology describes the scientific study of disease which can be described as any abnormality that is causing changes in the structure or function of body parts. In pathology, the causes, mechanisms and extent of disease may be examined.
Anatomical pathology:
This branch of pathology involves the study and diagnosis of disease based on the examination of surgically removed bodily specimens or sometimes of the whole body (autopsy). Aspects of a sample that may be considered include its gross anatomical make up, appearance of the cells and the immunological markers and chemical signatures in the cells.
Speech Pathology:
The components of speech production include: phonation, producing sound; resonance; fluency; intonation, variance of pitch; and voice, including aeromechanical components of respiration. The components of language include: phonology, manipulating sound according to the rules of a language; morphology, understanding and using minimal units of meaning; syntax, constructing sentences by using languages' grammar rules; semantics, interpreting signs or symbols of communication to construct meaning; and pragmatics, social aspects of communication.
Clinical pathology:
This branch concerns the laboratory analysis of blood, urine and tissue samples to examine and diagnose disease. Typically, laboratories will process samples and provide results concerning blood counts, blood clotting ability or urine electrolytes, for example.
Who Should Attend?
Practicing pathologist, pathologist in training and other healthcare professionals interested in the latest advances and techniques in the field. Another segment of target audience is Pharmaceutical researchers, Clinical organizations, Educational institutes. Anatomical Pathologists, Surgical Pathologists, Forensic Pathologists etc.
The 13th International Conference on Surgical Pathology & Practice will exhibit the products and services from commercial and non-commercial organizations like Pathology Lab Equipment manufacturers, Cell Diagnostics laboratories, Clinical Trial Sites, Business delegates and Equipment Manufacturers.

Surgical Pathology and Diagnosis-
Surgical pathology is the investigation of tissues expelled from living patients amid surgery to analyze an illness and decide a treatment arrangement. Regularly, the surgical pathologist gives discussion administrations in a wide assortment of organ indications and subspecialties. The act of surgical pathology takes into consideration authoritative analysis of illness (or deficiency in that department) regardless where tissue is surgically expelled from a patient. This is generally performed by a mix of gross (i.e., plainly visible) and histologic (i.e., infinitesimal) examination of the tissue, and may include assessments of sub-atomic properties of the tissue by immunohistochemistry or other research center tests.

Cancer Pathology-
Cancer Cytopathology is generally used on samples of free cells or tissue fragments, in contrast to histopathology, which studies whole tissues. Cytopathologic tests are sometimes called smear tests because the samples may be smeared across a glass microscope slide for subsequent staining and microscopic examination. Gallbladder cancer is a relatively uncommon cancer and can be cure by fine needle aspiration material. However, cytology samples may be prepared in other ways, including cytocentrifugation. Different types of smear tests may also be used for cancer diagnosis. In this sense, it is termed a cytological smear. Epidemiology of Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women, with approximately 182,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer annually in the United States, accounting for approximately 26% of all incident cancers among women.

Head and Neck Surgery
Otorhinolaryngology is the area of medicine that deals with disorders conditions of the ear, nose, and throat region, and related areas of the head and neck. Patients seek treatment from otorhinolaryngologists for diseases of the ear, nose, throat, or base of the skull, and for the surgical management of cancers and benign tumors of the head and neck. The purpose of surgery to the ears, nose, throat, head and neckis to treat an abnormality defect or disease in these anatomical areas. An anatomical deformity is a change that usually occurs during embryological development, leaving the affected person with the apparent defect.

Cytopathology
Cytopathology is the examination of cells from the body under the microscope to identify the signs and characteristics of disease. Cytopathology is often loosely called "cytology," a word that simply means the study of cells. A cytopathology report tells us whether the cells studied contain signs of disease. Cells examined for cytopathology can come from fluids extracted from body cavities - e.g. urine, sputum (spit), or fluids accumulating inside the chest or abdomen. Cells can also be extracted by inserting needles into lumps or diseased areas or tissues - called fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC).

Gynecologic Pathology
Gynecologic pathology is the medicinal pathology subspecialty managing the study and analysis of infection including the female genital tract. A doctor who hones gynecologic pathology is a gynecologic pathologist. The term starts from the Greek gyno-(gynaikos) signifying "lady" and the addition - ology, signifying "investigation of". It is estimated that there will be aroung 98,000 new cases diagnosed and approximately causing 30,000 deaths from gynecologic cancers in the USA during the year 2015 stated as per The American Cancer Society, in which Uterine cancer may have the large portion of about 50% cases with an estimated mortality rate of approximately 18.5%. The Ovarian cancer has the highest estimated mortality rate at 66%.

Histologic Pathology
Histologic Pathology is the science or study dealing with the cytological and histologic structure of the abnormal or diseased tissue. Although it refers to the microscopic examination of tissue in order to study the manifestations of the disease. The study of tissues is called Tissue histology and is important to the understanding of how the human body is able to function as a unit. in clinical medicine, histopathology refers to the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist, after the specimen has been processed and histological sections have been placed onto glass slides. In contrast, cytopathology examines free cells or tissue fragments.

Dermatopathology
Dermatopathology is a joint subspecialty of dermatology and pathology and to a lesser extent of surgical pathology that focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at a microscopic and molecular level. It also encompasses analyses of the potential causes of skin diseases at a basic level. In fact, most of them are trained primarily in dermatology themselves. Dermatologists are able to recognize most skin diseases based on their appearances, anatomic distributions, and behavior. Sometimes, however, those criteria do not allow a conclusive diagnosis to be made, and a skin biopsy is taken to be examined under the microscope or subject to other molecular tests. That process reveals the histology of the disease and results in a specific diagnostic interpretation.
